If you are a student in a German university and you want to bring your family in Germany to visit you then this article will help you to get a picture of the process.

Sometimes it seems complex when we visit KVR (City registration office) or check their websites for this purpose. The local country embassy also has its own regulations.

There are two ways you can follow. Firstly, you can do it by KVR. By this process you can officially send the invitation letter to your family when you are a student. Put Euro 1000 as caution money per person and apply from KVR. They will issue the letter. When your family will leave you will get return the Euro 1000. Fill their forms and bring the required papers i.e. residence card, accomodation documents, bank info, student information carrying papers. On the other hand, your family will get the KVR approved invitation letter from you by mail and then they will take papers which represent nationality, no crime status and financial stability to the embassy. This application style is preferred in the local embassy. The second way is relatively straight forward. You write inofficial letter to the local embassy through your family mentioning that you are a student in a German university and you are staying in Germany legally since a period. You have to send copy of enrolment certificate, passport copy, student ID, residence card, bank statement as supporting documents. Your family member will carry them in interview also. The VISA will be travel VISA and standard staying period will be imposed which is 3 months. Bank solvency of Euro 4000+ is appreciated in the KVR. The Bangladesh local German embassy take 21 days minimum to process the papers and publish the result.
